Opening Day Ribbon Cutting
Kelly Meneeley (left) and Upper Merion Township Supervisor Erika Spott (right) cut the green ribbon to herald the opening of the new Upper Merion Farmers' Market. Meneeley and Spott came up with the inspiration for the market. They serve as the leaders of the Upper Merion Farmers' Market Committee, whose members appear behind them in the photo wearing the green aprons.

This year’s Earth Day celebration in Upper Merion township featured a “Meet the Farmers” event. Several of the vendors and producers who will be participating in the new Upper Merion Farmers’ Market were on hand to introduce themselves to community members. The Farmers’ Market Committee Members who led the “Meet the Farmers” event were (from left to right) Kelly Meneeley, Township Supervisor Erika Spott, Carole Kenney, and Cathy Burke.

Earth Day at the King of Prussia Mall
Members of the Upper Merion Farmers’ Market ushered in Earth Day by greeting patrons at the King of Prussia Mall. Individuals who were interested in finding out more about the market were treated to apples and granola from Frecon Farms, one of the market’s local producers. The Farmers’ Market Committee Members who orchestrated the event were (from left to right) Dawn Francis, Cathy Burke, Township Supervisor Erika Spott, and Kelly Meneeley. Members Carole Kenney and Tina Garzillo also participated in the event, but do not appear in this picture.
